Meet Didier Nicholas of Senior CompuCare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Didier Nicholas.

Hi Didier, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
“Senior CompuCare came about to provide people a unique online training and one-on-one educational platform, helping them retool themselves to take their educational foundation and build additional skill-sets.”

Senior CompuCare is a Veteran Owned business and was born with its mission to help seniors, veterans, businesses and young people with day-to-day computing.

Modern technology and software allow us to train and help our customers wherever they are throughout the United States. All of our core services are offered remotely. We want to help everyone and technology allows us to do that.

We have helped veterans and seniors who have mobility issues, so our remote services are perfect for them. We are here for our customers, and if that means doing everything over the internet and phone, then that is what we will do.

From Computing Basics, MS Office Products, E-mail, Business Report Tools and Internet Fundamentals to IT training in PC Diagnostics and Repair, and Security, Senior CompuCare provides a wide array of services offering a well-rounded, competitive advantage to stand out in the hundreds of resumes that employers weed through daily.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Generally speaking, yes. The concept has always been received extremely well, both for clients and those wanting to become SCC Licensees.

We would say our struggles, from its inception, have been that SCC didn’t “fit” traditional franchise models. Our model was unique in that it is not brick-and-mortar, nor does it rely on Licensees growing their businesses as an employer/employee structure. Instead, within our model, trainers, instructors, and techs are utilized within the independent contractors (ICs) structure (allowing SCC ICs to schedule and service clients accordingly).

Additionally, pre-pandemic, SCC’s uniqueness was to “go to” our clients one-on-one so to speak. Our experience in the technology industry showed us the need to bring “remote services” to light. Remote service was becoming a direction of great importance in the trending paradym shift. Pre-pandemic clients couldn’t see this. So now, most are trying to “catch up”.

Lastly, our current struggle is to get the word out nationwide certainly; but as with most in this time of pandemic recovery, marketing dollars for this type of campaign are limited. We embrace creative, grassroots venues to introduce SCC whenever possible.

As you know, we’re big fans of Senior CompuCare. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Our model’s unique design is expressed as: “We Come to You”. Although we have provided “remote services” for over ten years to our clients, because of the pandemic, these services emerged as a major niche as well.

Our original model was unique in the industry and we had no exact competitor; especially as a nationwide training company. I’m very proud of our New Brand Identity that we launched back on January 15, 2020. Below is our press release.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I like the history of the city. I can’t find anything that I don’t like.

With regards to SCC, I see the Baltimore community with a great deal of potential, both for licensees and for individual skill enhancement from our digital services.
