Meet Chantre’ Phillips of Harford County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantre’ Phillips.

Hi Chantre’, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started Real Estate in 2016 when I was laid off from my job. I remember laying on the couch, sad, almost slipping into depression, not knowing what was next. I decided that I needed to pray and dig deep into my purpose. What is it that I love doing? What is it that I’m passionate about? Also, during that moment, I promised myself that I would never leave my livelihood in anyone else’s hands! I knew that whatever I decided, I had to ensure that it never put me back in a position where someone could lay me off again. I’ve always loved customer service, providing people with an exceptional, unforgettable experience! I also remember being young and watching my parents get homes built, picking out floors, cabinets, and finishes, and being so excited walking through the model homes! That day on the couch, while trying to figure life out, I said, “I’m going to get my real estate license!” That was the best decision ever; It didn’t start easy; I became very discouraged during my first year. I didn’t have many clients, and I wasn’t financially capable of doing real estate full time. So I put my license on referral status and found another job.

Bad idea! I felt unfilled again. I was working for a check and not a purpose. I had another self moment where I told myself that I needed to return to my purpose and passion, no matter what it looked like financially. Covid came around, and my new job then furloughed me. I told myself if this wasn’t a sign, I don’t know what else it could be! I spoke with my husband, who always pushed me to do Real Estate. He said that’s where he saw me the happiest! I told him I wasn’t going back to my job full time; instead, I would be pursuing Real Estate Full Time! He told me to do it and that I had his full support. I felt so free!! Like a weight was lifted off of my back. I was now able to walk in my purpose and passion freely. Helping families buy and sell Real Estate is so fulfilling! I can assist people while making them feel good and confident about their real estate decisions, all while creating generational wealth. Being fulfilled is something money can’t buy.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
Not at all. I struggled with a lack of clients, trying to block out others, and figuring out what worked for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Real Estate agent licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. I help people buy and sell homes, leaving them exceptional customer service and n unforgettable experience. I love making people feel good. I love ensuring they are confident with their decision, whether buying or selling a home.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I love referrals! Many of my business is based on a referral basis because my family and friends trust that I will take good care of whomever they refer over.
