Meet Candice Brown of Grace + Gratitude

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Brown.

Hi Candice, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The concept of Grace & Gratitude stems from my love for high-quality tea, holistic wellness, and cultivating new connections. I believe that overall health can start with a cup of tea. As a working wife and mom during the pandemic, my tea time became my me time. It was one of the simplest ways I routinely practiced self-care. I started creating my tea blends and sharing them with others. From there, Grace + Gratitude was born. In addition to our tea blends, we have designed and sourced products that support your self-care + wellness. I hope you are encouraged to take a moment for yourself, give yourself and others a little more grace, and live with gratitude.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve been blessed to receive a lot of support from my network, which led to amazing new customers and connections. Of course, the road hasn’t always been smooth, but whenever I connect with a new customer or receive a new five-star review, I feel re-energized and motivated to keep going!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a proud Black woman-owned brand offering self-care moments through our delicious tea blends. Our teas include caffeine-free herbal and rooibos teas, slightly caffeinated green teas, moderately caffeinated black teas, and oolong and white teas. Each tea is carefully blended and hand-packed in small batches to ensure quality, freshness, and consistency. In addition to our tea blends, we have designed and sourced products that support your self-care + wellness.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I am not typically a risk-taker, but being an entrepreneur is a risk. However, my passion for great tea and self-care made Grace + Gratitude a risk worth taking. I am grateful every day for taking this risk!
