Life & Work with Riveka Diaz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Riveka Diaz. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Kairos started in 2007 by Mynor Escobar. He used to work for the Union and he eventually decided to start his own company in home renovations. As he did small projects here and there, he got so many referrals that he was able to quit his job in 2018 and take on Kairos full time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, there have been struggles in the past. Once there was a staff to be responsible for there were times when we had no work. It was difficult to tell them we had nothing for them to do. Some of those people left because they needed to make money, understandably so, and others have stayed with us and are still with us today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a home improvement company that is Hispanic and family-owned/run. We specialize in Kitchens and Bathrooms. We are most known for our customer service! Contractors have a bad reputation, so our business model was created to break those stereotypical norms. We are most proud of the rapid growth we have achieved.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I think most people are surprised when they learn how young we are in the office! We are all under 30 running the logistics of the business.
