Life & Work with Jade Sancho-Duser

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Sancho-Duser.

Hi Jade, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2017, I received my Medical Marijuana card, and my life changed entirely. Now I live my life as a fibromyalgia fighter and not a victim. Fibromyalgia is a condition that displays musculoskeletal pain accompanied by extreme fatigue, mood, and cognitive issues. I would endure long solitude periods because the pain seemed never-ending. The fatigue would not allow me to walk nor hold even a glass of water. Now I enjoy regular hikes and even decided to use my collective knowledge and 16 years as licensed health and wellness professional to help others heal themselves.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth ride at all. Being a Woman of Color in business isn’t easy, especially not in the Cannabis industry. It’s hard to be a Medical cannabis patient while trying to get into the business end of things. There are a lot of predatory practices in the cannabis space due to the nature of the industry. I’m a lot wiser now, and I am glad I got to learn early on. This is how I know I am a strong woman; I’m still here, thriving in my business and creating a positive impact.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I always tell people, “I do everything!” I’m more than just a pretty face; I’m a HIGHLY skilled, multifaceted professional. I have been a massage therapist for 16 years who mainly works with corporate health and wellness programs. This allowed me the flexibility and freedom to begin my career in the cannabis industry. I started simply as a Patient Advocate/Social Media Influencer, which blossomed into a few great partnerships. I now travel the East Coast for educational speaking events and modeling opportunities. I also help beginning entrepreneurs light their creative spark with my creative agency, Bewitched Branding. Behind the scenes, I am notorious for event planning, especially in Cannabis. My latest collaborative project is the Northeast Cannabis Nursing Conference. We are bringing out the education and community resources. I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it.

Is something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
My brand is named RxMaryJade not because of the slang term for Cannabis, “MaryJane,” but rather in honor of both of my grandmothers. They were both named Mary, and both had a tremendous impact on my life.
