My journey into floral and event design started with a genuine love for decorating spaces and creating environments that bring people together. It really came to life when I designed my daughter’s first birthday. I poured so much love and intention into that day, and it made me realize how much I truly enjoy bringing ideas to life.
What began as something personal quickly grew as friends and family started trusting me with their events. That experience led me to officially launch SBL Events, with a focus on creating thoughtful, intentional, and memorable designs.
Over time, my work has evolved into designing weddings, milestone celebrations, and corporate events across the DMV. Each event has helped me grow creatively and as a business owner, while allowing me to create experiences that feel both beautiful and meaningful.
Today, SBL Events is known for bespoke floral and event styling, and I still approach every event with the same heart I started with, creating spaces that feel personal, intentional, and worth remembering.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, it hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been a very rewarding one. Building this business has stretched me in so many ways creatively, professionally, and personally.
I’ve had to learn how to balance creativity with the business side, grow in confidence, and navigate the demands that come with this industry. At times, it meant stepping outside of my comfort zone and trusting myself in new opportunities.
Each challenge has played a role in shaping me. It has strengthened my skills, deepened my resilience, and helped me become more intentional in how I approach both my work and my clients.
I am constantly learning, exploring new techniques, refining my craft, and improving my processes so I can better serve my clients.
Through it all, my faith has kept me grounded and reminded me to trust the process, even in uncertain seasons.
Overall, while the journey hasn’t been perfect, it has been purposeful, and I’m grateful for how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown along the way.

One of my favorite childhood memories is playing in the rain. It was always such a simple but joyful experience, and it reminds me of a time when life felt carefree and full of wonder.
