Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Waddell.
Hi Victoria, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I pretty much always had a really strong ambition to be something. I didn’t know exactly what it was but I wanted to be somebody.
I’ve been creative all my life and I love making things for people. Seeing the looks on my customer’s faces when they get their item makes me want to go harder.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course not! Business is never a smooth road if it is not working hard enough.
Some days, I would sell 100 items, and some days, I won’t have any sales. It’s all about determination to keep going, it’s been plenty of times I wanted to quit.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I started my business in 2019 after my daughter was born. Demi is my biggest inspiration. I make almost everything.
From clothing designs to party favors, to candles, to memory pendants, and so much more.
I feel like I’m most known for the memory pendants, I’ve made almost 1,000 of those. What sets me apart from others is I’m very detailed about my work! I wouldn’t sell what I wouldn’t buy.
Everything I make literally is like a heart project for me. So you know if you get anything from me it’s sure to be perfect. I want the readers to know I love what I do. I love it when people bring me new ideas it’s a challenge I love to accept.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
An important lesson I’ve learned is social media is a great tool!
Branding is great. Covid you can’t really get out and shake hands and explain your business. But on social media, you can reach the whole world without even leaving out your house.
