Inspiring Conversations with Venine Roberts of Social Grace Society

Today we’d like to introduce you to Venine Roberts. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Venine Roberts was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. She is the granddaughter of the late Eva & Youman Fullard, who were the iconic owners of Baltimore’s Legendary Yellow Bowl Restaurant. She is a wife and mother of 2, Aiyauna (GTB LLC) and Javien (Hampton University).

Venine acquired feminine mannerisms and lady-like qualities from spending most of her youth alongside her mother and grandmother. Venine learned the art of etiquette and manners by mimicking conversations and imitating delightful exchanges amongst the women in her mother’s and grandmother’s social circle. She admired how strong they were as female pioneers in the community and decided that she wanted to pursue something similar.

After the passing of her grandmother Eva, Venine felt that something was missing, not only in her life but as a whole. During her journey to becoming a lady, there were many experiences that helped her understand that all women weren’t privy to the teachings of manners, etiquette, and class. In May of 2020, Venine founded and birthed, Social Grace Society.

Social Grace Society is a genuine camaraderie for ladies. Social Grace Society, was established for the sole purpose of reviving many of the long-established teachings of etiquette and manners. This will be accomplished through the rediscovery of self-love, understanding, conflict resolution, mentorship, and the arts. Social Grace Society’s goal is to acquire the resources and tools necessary, for young teens and ladies to become polished, learn & display optimum manners, etiquette, and posture for today’s society.

Venine’s ladylike passion for empowering women to be at their best has inspired her from the beginning and continues to drive her vision into the future. With that being said, Venine was inspired to create Love Your Lady plant-based feminine care.

Love Your Lady is an all-natural feminine care line made to keep your: Lady (also known as the vagina) clean, fresh, and ph balanced. Venine is currently educating women on the importance and benefits of using her all-natural products in their everyday feminine care routine.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, it was challenging to bring awareness about the need and importance of etiquette and manners training within our community.

As for Love Your Lady Feminine Care, the biggest obstacle was helping women understand how harmful chemicals, fragrances, and dyes can be if used on, around, or in their “Lady.”

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Social Grace Society is a genuine camaraderie for ladies. Social grace was established for the sole purpose of reviving many of the long-established teachings of etiquette and manners. Social Grace Society’s goal is to acquire the resources and tools necessary, for young teens and ladies to become polished, learn & display optimum manners, etiquette, and posture for today’s society. This will be achieved via fundraisers, networking events, workshops, and social media awareness campaigns.

Our organization specializes in Situational Manners & Etiquette Training (S.M.E.T). This is a program that was designed to emulate real-life scenarios that would require the use of good manners and etiquette, in order to successfully complete each level. S.M.E.T is also used as a tool to improve effective communication and conflict resolution skills. We are the only etiquette and manners organization that offers S.M.E.T training!

Social Grace Society is pleased to announce its first High Tea & Honorees Fundraiser for our upcoming 501- c3 non-profit organization “The Social Grace Society Foundation.” This event will be held on Preakness Day May 21, 2022, at Martin’s West. Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is the 4th of July 1986. We had an epic fashion show/cookout in my grandparent’s backyard, that will be remembered for decades in the Park Heights community.

The entire family and the majority of the community attended. I’ve always remembered how happy everyone was during that time, and how the music echoed throughout the neighborhood. The fashion show participants were all family and friends.

We sang, danced, laughed, walked the runway, and enjoyed food prepared by Yellow Bowl’s own Youman Fullard Sr. (My granddaddy).
