Inspiring Conversations with Tobi Ojo of Bella180

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tobi Ojo.

Hi Tobi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been around success and small businesses since I could remember. I am a second-generation Nigerian; therefore, a hustler’s mindset has been embedded in me since birth. My parents moved from Nigeria to ensure the best life for my sister and I. Their legacy will continue through us as we continue to make them honored.

My mother’s favorite mantra to say was always “Don’t kill yourself for a job, because a job will not kill itself for you.” With that being said I always told myself the only option was to be great at something and become successful. A few years after graduating with my undergrad, I decided to make changes for the better.

The pandemic hit and unfortunately, I lost my job, as well as millions of people. A business venture became the highlight of my thoughts. I wanted to be sure whatever direction I was headed would serve me purpose as well as passion.

Shortly after a few months of researching and brainstorming, I decided to take the leap of faith and take the course to become a Body Sculpting Tech. It was not the most affordable but with a few months of saving; I made enough to enroll in the course.

After the first few months of practice, hard work, and consistency I begin seeing amazing results. During the third month of sculpting, I made my investment back. In fact, even tripling the amount. God is good now, forever, and always. It is him I owe my success to!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not always been peaches and cream but that’s the part many people aren’t willing to work through. Without sacrifices and struggle in life it is hard to build true character.

You can’t get to the top without starting at the bottom. Starting in a pandemic and not having regular clientele initially was tough, but I continued encouraging myself.

My main reminder was to stay consistent by working and posting content because if no one was going to support me, I most certainly was going to support myself. I am my number one supporter!

We’ve been impressed with Bella180, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I am the owner of Bella180. My business is a body sculpting business located in the DMV, specifically Baltimore, MD. I am certified in Laser Lipo, Lipo Cavitation, Wood Therapy, Radio Frequency, and Vacuum Therapy.

I am currently open seven days a week with times varying on each day. I conduct all bookings through Square and Instagram. I am known for giving the best BBLs there are to offer. The BBL package consists of a Butt Lift, Laser Lipo, and Lipo Cavitation to the stomach area.

I am proud of creating a business on my own and continuing despite the circumstances around us on a day-to-day basis. I want people to know I truly take pride in my professionalism, work, and ethic.

What do you think about happiness?
As cliché as this may sound there is one thing that many people take for granted that truly makes me happy. My happiness comes from simply being able to be alive, going outside, and not being homeless.

I am thankful for my life. As years fly by my growth comes from within and merely understanding happiness comes from simplicity.
