Inspiring Conversations with Paris Rae of Paris Raé Lash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paris Rae.

Hi Paris, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been obsessed with fake eyelashes. I use to put on strips every day just to go to school! I loved how they looked and how beautiful fake lashes made me feel. When I graduated high school, eyelash extensions just started to become popular.

I was very intrigued by the idea that you could get your lashes professionally done, without having to wake up every day and put on strip lashes. So, I started to consistently get my lashes done and I became obsessed, I fell in love with how they made me look, and the fact that they stay on for roughly 2 weeks.

Eventually, I fell so in love I decided I wanted to learn to do them myself and make other people feel just as beautiful. So, when I graduated high school in 2019 my mother gifted me, my first lash class, as a graduation gift.

I knew immediately after my class that this was what I wanted to do, I loved doing lashes but, I soon became discouraged because I felt like I wasn’t progressing as fast as I wanted to so I stopped doing them, even though I knew in the back of the head that lashing was my passion.

In January 2022, I finally decided to stop doubting myself and give it another chance so I took my second lash class a week after my birthday as a gift to myself, and now, we’re here! Lol!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m hard on myself, I’m such a perfectionist so the biggest challenge for me was I had to stop doubting myself and realize practice makes perfect.

I had to understand that everyone starts somewhere and things aren’t going to be perfect the first, second, or third time doing it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Paris Raé Lash Co. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am an eyelash technician that specializes in volume/mega volume eyelash extensions. I’m known for dramatic sets and I think that also sets me apart from a lot of lash techs.

I’m most proud of the growth I’ve made with my brand I feel like I get better and better with every lash set that I do.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is never to give up! Even if you feel discouraged or you think you’re not good enough.

If you love something or have a passion for something go after it and never stop because tomorrow might be the day you win.
