Hi Nya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In February of 2020, I realized I wanted to start my own business. I always enjoyed making my own money as a little kid but this was deeper than the money. I had a passion for helping people and I knew this would be the perfect opportunity for me to help people by providing exclusive cosmetics and accessories. I always liked dressing up and wearing accessories, so I knew this could also help me expand my personal collection.
I launched my first business, The Lavish Look, on May 23, 2020, right in the prime of quarantine. This allowed me to stay busy so I would not become idle in the house. My business grew larger than i expected in a short time frame. Later in the year, I wanted to give my business a total revamp. On December 1, 2020, I launched my present-day business, The Nyy Collection. The Nyy Collection offers a wide range of accessories from necklaces to our best-selling croc charms. Without the help of close friends and family. I would not be where I am today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With any business, nothing is always smooth. You encounter times of doubt and lack of support which makes in hard to keep going. I have learned to push through what others may think because this is my path not theirs. Having a business makes you realize that a stranger will support you more than a close friend. You have to remain strong and keep going. Never give up what you love because someone does not support you. Eventually, you will come across your number one supporter.

What matters most to me is my customer’s experience. I want everyone to feel their importance and I always accept feedback. All customers express how much they love shopping here and are ready to shop again. My customers are what matters most because they are the reason my business is where it is today. I love reaching new customers from other states and seeing them promote my brand as if it is their own and telling all their friends about it.
