Today we’d like to introduce you to Darius Johnson.
Hi Darius, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
So, I have a photography and videography company called to catch this flash.
I start this business 3 years ago. I started with a 50$ Photoshoot with my close friend, Moe. I began reaching out to many city influencers such as (Moe Stacks, Hfrinks, Larry Luv, Events by Dev, Kenny Bangers, Tye Cox Events, 856 Chris, Official booked, and Janai). Creating a name for myself and being more involved in my city. I have even created a give-back program as well as a mentor program for kids.
Because in this city we need more people to help and not bash the kids that are coming up some don’t have great opportunities and are put in Tuff situations so we as people have to TRY to change the narrative for the future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been smooth? I would say no the road was bumpy but it got paved out along the way?
Creating a lane for myself was hard finding the eye for what people look for in editing skills a lot was a lot until you work at your craft every day.
The elevation is always there for everyone and I want to elevate every day and learn something new every moment I can! That’s growth right.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Catch This Flash?
I’m proud of my brand because I started from nothing and built it to become everything I wanted. I must say thank you to GMDTV for the classes and coaching daily.
My business ethics are everything to me because I stand on my business by any means I treat my business like a family and by that, I mean the family is number 1 and I protect it by any means same goes for my business. I have worked with many artists along with my road money Jake, YG tech, Ari, Est Glee, Jayda, etc. but this is all off of my work ethics not off a name because without work ethics yah name means nothing!
I treat all my clients the same no matter how much you spend or have everyone pays the same price nothing more nothing less. After the events or shoots, your family in my eyes, and I mean that. I love all my supporters.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was going to watch my uncle Gus go play basketball he use to have a smile about him man we use to have a ball. He use to pick me up by my head and lift me off the ground like I was a basketball myself, lol.
