Hidden Gems: Meet Dimitris Gazonas of Direct Contact Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dimitris Gazonas.

Dimitris, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started right out of high school. The year was 2015 and I was planning on getting a degree in Music. While I was passionate about music, I knew that when It came to paying the bills, It wasn’t the best career path. Right around that time, a friend of mine gave me a book (Rich Dad Poor Dad) which was the catalyst to my entrepreneurial journey. Since then, I tried and failed many times and learned a lot from different business ventures, and around two years ago, I founded Direct Contact Marketing (my current business). Since then, I’ve been able to hone my craft and take on newer and higher challenges!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success is always under construction, and struggles are inevitable. While some might find that my road was smooth, others might find it difficult. At the end of the day, it’s all about perspective. That said, no matter what problems you are faced with, the most difficult struggle will always be the inner war within yourself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is an online marketing agency. We help businesses acquire more customers through online advertising. Our main focus is a positive ROI (Return-On-Investment), specifically a return on the cost of advertising. What really sets us apart from your general marketing agency is that we spend most of our time consulting with our clients in finding their perfect customer or audience. By taking the extra time to do this, we can approach the online advertising game with a lot more confidence and predictability. I’m very proud of the fact that we can produce positive results for our clients. I would like our readers to know that we are available if they are in need of a solid marketing foundation, proven business consulting, and a transparent long-lasting business relationship.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Fail early and be resilient. Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone. Just like anything else, it is a career path that requires certain skills that can be learned, as well as certain innate talents. I wish everyone would do a personality test, learn about themselves and their quirks, and see beforehand if they have what it takes. This will save them an enormous amount of time and energy. When started, don’t stop, keep moving. Just like you can invest $1 and it exponentially grows over time, the same happens with your skill, talent, and knowledge of things. Find a mentor and hang around people you admire/look up to. Your environment is the most important thing for your future, so change your environment to match your goals and direction in life.
