Today we’d like to introduce you to Shontice Moore.
Hi Shontice, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our venture started during the COVID pandemic. One of our friends suggested that we do a podcast where we discuss topics that impact marriages. Our goal is to provide positive examples of marriage, especially in the African American community since there is an underrepresentation of these images in everyday life. We wanted to dispel the idea that African Americans do not get married or have healthy, strong marriages.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has had challenges such as meeting/recording times (difficult since our regular jobs were virtual) and figuring out how to use the equipment and programs needed for a podcast. The most challenging area was learning how to manage family time, work, self-time, and this new endeavor.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about 3 Married Ladies’ Opinion?
Our podcast is a format for everyday people to explore and discuss marriage topics to build healthy marriages. I believe that we are different from other platforms because we are three college friends that are at different stages of marriage so our opinions vary based on our experiences. We are typical working wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters navigating our way through this beautiful covenant called marriage. Our goal is to encourage, uplift, and inspire others to build healthy marriages which helps to build healthy communities. As African American women, we understand that representation is important so we want to show that Black love doesn’t just exist on TV but in everyday life.
