Hi Luvenia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The Motivation to start Flair Cuisine LLC, I grew up in the family business; my parents operated a restaurant/club. Flair Cuisine LLC was birthed, with my passion for food and nutrition fueled my start, and after positive feedback from family and friends to start catering company. I would always get ask to cater and make dishes for events.
Flair Cuisine LLC, approach is to take traditional Soulful Cuisine and add modern approach fusing healthy ingredients and curating different spices, fresh ingredients and curate blends for bold flavors and to craft blends and reminiscence of what my mother used to make Southern Cuisine. My goal is to bring a healthier lifestyle to American Southern Cuisine without losing the flavors that your palette enjoyed. We’re just getting started and is eager to show the world how different flavors can enhance your meals. My family has supported me thru this process of entrepreneurship.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a first-time business owner. Building the business platform has been challenging, finding my targeted audience, obtaining clients, licensing, etc. The pandemic, Covid-19, was a damper but I had to pivot like most restaurants & small businesses. Having the courage to step outside of my comfort zone and find revenue. I stared providing services to essential workers and creating my own spice blends.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a local caterer providing catering services to corporate events, popup lunches, weddings, festivals, galas, etc. You should know that Flair Cuisine LLC provides and strives to reinvent the food we all know and love to eat to create a custom experience tailored to our clients, only using fresh ingredients. I’m known for my talent in the kitchen and putting a tasty twist on mainstream dishes. What sets us apart is our attentiveness to detail, putting our clients at ease, yummy food, consistency, and reliability.
I’m a mom, wife, friend, business owner, everything, Lol. I wear all the hats that’s necessary for my business to grow. I specialize in creating menus, recipes, and a memorable experience for your Palette. I’m proud that I had the courage to step out on faith, believe that I have something to offer, start a business and build a brand that includes what I felt was missing from most rival caterers (passion and flavor!).
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
After an unpredictable and turbulent 2020, we are hoping that the industry would have stabilize within five years, I feel the interest to elevate flavors that consumers view as healthy, ready to eat catered meals kits, meat-free, consumers what to know more about their food will always be a trend. The increased emphasis on health and well-being will still be with us.
