Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Craig.
Hi Sierra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I began juicing in 2014 as a way to incorporate a healthy habit in my lifestyle that was easy for me to enjoy on the go. As time continued, I would take my juices with me to work and different places, and my friends and family would ask me if I would take orders for juices. From there The Main Squeeze was born. Since then, it has been truly a pleasure building the brand ‘The Main Squeeze’. The Main Squeeze still takes orders for customers that are delivered on Sundays, we also now at pop-ups and farmers markets.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been far from smooth; however, it has been extremely fulfilling. When I started taking orders for The Main Squeeze, I had no idea what I was getting myself into or what it would grow into. Trying to share something that I loved with my customers while not making myself broke was my first struggle! Pricing your products properly is a science and one of the most important parts of business. Another struggle is balance. Since I started The Main Squeeze, I have maintained a full-time job like many of the entrepreneurs I know and burnout can be a real thing. It’s really important to learn how to balance everything. Learning to implement boundaries that help you to continue to serve your customers, your brand, and yourself efficiently until you can focus on your passion full time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Main Squeeze is known for delicious cold-pressed juices. I am most proud of helping my customers incorporate a healthy habit in their lifestyle that they completely enjoy. I also help my customers create defined goals for their health journeys. I have not been perfect on my health journey and what I want to help people understand is, perfection is not the goal, progression is. Most people in my community have grown up eating a certain way and the idea of eating healthy is intimidating, overwhelming or just uninteresting since eating healthy is synonymous with bland vegetables. One of the goals of The Main Squeeze is to dispel that myth and to let my customers know that healthy habits are rewarding and can taste good too.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Riding bikes with my mother through the neighborhood I grew up in.
