Today we’d like to introduce you to LaShae Jamison-Thomas.
Hi LaShae, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2018, I began my photography journey by picking up my first DSLR camera to see if I could get some action shots of my autistic son who wouldn’t stay still for a picture. As I began to post photos of my son on Facebook, family and friends began to ask for photoshoots. I quickly began taking photos for my family and friends as well as taking on an array of new clientele. In 2020 when Covid 19 took over life as we know it, I pulled my son out of school and went into business for myself creating Limitless Imaging Photography.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has certainly not been a smooth road especially with Covid 19 present in the world. It’s hard enough to start a business, but to start a business during a pandemic and stepping out on faith is for sure a draining task. Capturing moments seemed to fall by the wayside here a bit during the pandemic and people stopped wanting to do photoshoots or overall, just didn’t feel safe. Providing clients with a safe and affordable service has been the pleasure of Limitless Imaging Photography during this time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Limitless Imaging Photography’s vision is to be the go-to photography company for everyday people in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area.
Limitless Imaging Photography focuses on image excellence and incredible customer service. We go above and beyond for our clients to make sure their time is valued, deadlines are met, and the highest quality product is delivered.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Before founding Limitless Imaging Photography, I wasn’t much of a risk-taker or should I say that I didn’t like taking risks. Decision-making in my 20’s didn’t feel like my strong suit and I’d convinced myself that risk-taking wasn’t for me. Between my boyfriend believing in me and convincing me that it was ok to take a risk and staying home with my Pre-K aged son and not being able to work during the pandemic, I decided that once again I had to get back on the horse and begin taking risks again. Risk-taking is exactly how Limitless Imaging Photography was born.
