Daily Inspiration: Meet Kenisha Lee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenisha Lee.

Hi Kenisha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
ArtSEE started about seven years ago as a photography company. I worked a bit with companies that helped to educate me more on event photography, planning and set up and break down. Moving forward, I started looking more into independently planning events and started doing wedding photography. I decided that my passion and love was wrapped in love so surrounding myself with weddings and the wedding planning industry really kept me moving. I legalized my company during the pandemic because I wanted to be able to offer some creative solutions for those in love to celebrate their love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! It is never a smooth road in my opinion but the roadblocks build character for me as well as the company. No one wants food that isn’t seasoned. These obstacles bring the seasoning. Learning different things that will help to make me better as a CEO, Coordinator and Photographer.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer and an event consultant. I like to work with minority businesses to help build professionalism, find and partner with vendors for the benefit of my clientele as well as the businesses that I work with. I specialize in creativity and incorporating creativity into everything that I do. I like hearing the vision of the customer and working with them to enhance that dream. I’m known for my customer service and people skills. I can definitely make friends with anyone and build a rapport that goes far beyond the events. When doing a photoshoot, I like to look for ways to make them the most comfortable for a natural shot. I’m proud of the support that my company has garnered. I have been able to grow with my team and set up placements for a branch with my husband’s nonprofit so that some of my services can be used to help build the community. We work exclusively with the Baltimore community for now but hope to branch out soon.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Family matters to me the most. Being able to set up a legacy for my future children, making my mother proud, helping my husband however I can and being this light for others and their families is what I live for. I aim for never-ending growth potential with everything that I do.
