Daily Inspiration: Meet Gabriella Schwager

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Schwager.

Hi Gabriella, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My current day is not what I had pictured years ago when I thought about my career path, but I would not change it for anything. A few years back, I created a company called Stars Marketing Group. We are a company that works with reality TV stars and social media influencers. We connect individuals with brands for promotional purposes, brand ambassador opportunities with various companies, and meet & greets events with our talent. It’s been a really fun ride building this company. Our roster started with Captain Lee from the hit show Below Deck on Bravo. We were fortunate enough to have a personal relationship with him that also turned professional! From there, our roster just continued to grow. Over time in a very organic way, our company has grown, and we have been able to work with international brands and companies, and our talent roster is succeeding because of that. My day-to-day as the CEO is spent calling brands, pitching ideas to event spaces, and managing our talent’s social media. I can’t wait to see what the next few years will hold for Stars Marketing Group and myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Most things that don’t come easy are worth the work! Nothing has been perfectly smooth; honestly, I don’t think I expected it to be. Covid impacted our business, as it did for so many. We learned how to pivot, adjust and adapt our essential day-to-day plans by working diligently to book more partnership opportunities for our talent since the meet-and-greet side of the business had to pause. In general, I think starting a business is hard but rewarding at the same time. There are so many things you need to learn and navigate. One big area is balance. Balance with your own life and your business life. Balance with how to manage people who are involved in your business. Balance when dealing with people and many personalities, as with our talent. I don’t think any career is a smooth ride. Being able to handle challenges and overcome them helps people and businesses strengthen.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m on the same wavelength. It is no secret that social media is available to everybody and has become part of day-to-day life. We work with social media influencers and reality TV stars and connect them with brands and companies that fit them and their brand for advertising purposes. We also help our talent manage their social media content. Creating in-person events in a small intimate setting or meet and greets in a large auditorium-style show is another part of our business and what we specialize in. We are so grateful that we can work with our talent and help them better their brands and get them in front of their fans for appearances! I think one thing I’m very proud of is when someone on our roster succeeds and is proud of themselves; knowing that we were a part of that in some way, shape or form is very rewarding.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
First and foremost, my business partner Mitch Adelstein brings much knowledge and experience to our company. Another person who has been extremely instrumental in the growth of Stars Marketing Group is someone I admire and have known for over 20 years. Michael Schreck, CEO/Co-Founder of CSMG, is a successful entrepreneur in his own right. We are lucky to have his continued guidance and name on our board. My family and friends have been amazing supporters as well! Over the last few years, I have made meaningful connections professionally and personally with people in the industry. People who run various social media accounts or writers have been instrumental in getting information about my company and our talent out there. I would also have to say that each company we partner with, from huge brands such as Maui Jim, Bacardi, and Celsius, all the way down to smaller up-and-coming companies or businesses who are just starting, continue to play a role in our company growing. We learn something different from each of those relationships that we foster.
