Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Blake and Kendall Johnson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We decided to start The Small Things to build a community that inspires and encourages love, gratitude, and intention in all spaces throughout our lives.
It started with just wanting to express our gratitude through creative crafts for ourselves, which blossomed into gifts for family and friends, and now the opportunity to share with the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been graciously bumpy, but we enjoy learning and growing through the process.
We’ve had to learn the importance of wearing multiple hats. We had to become accountants, photographers, promoters, etc, which requires learning new skills.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in hand-crafted decor and apparel. We create custom t-shirts, frames, and shadow boxes. You can also check out our socials for daily motivational quotes.
Being a part of the TST community is a space to grow and take a moment out of each day to appreciate life. We are most proud of stepping out of our fear and getting started.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Here are three things we’ve learned:
1. Optimize your time.
2. Never stop learning
3. Start today, because your job isn’t really your job.
