Conversations with Susanne Bates

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susanne Bates. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Dr. Bates worked as a park ranger for the Maryland State Forest and Park Service for 16 years in Gunpowder Falls State Park. After experiencing a serious back injury in 2004 and experiencing the benefits of chiropractic, Dr. Bates decided to change careers to pursue becoming a chiropractor and to help others experience the benefits of chiropractic.

Dr. Bates graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 2009 has been trained and specialized in multiple very gentle and very effective techniques.

She has specialized in Activator Methods and helps many people suffering with low back, neck and headaches conditions, and in addition, work with people with pain in legs or arms and corrects misalignments in joints such as the ankle, knee and shoulder.

Dr. Bates continues expand her knowledge in nutrition for 15 years and uses a muscle testing technique called Nutrition Response Testing and is an Advanced Clinical Clinician. She helps many people heal from many health challenges and especially sees a lot of people with thyroid glands that are not functioning optimally.

Dr. Bates provides physiotherapy to address muscle concerns to strengthen and stretch to allow her patients to feel better more quickly and be less likely to have a new injury.

In 2020, she earned certificate in dry needling which is tremendous tool that she uses as needed to help many people with taut painful areas of muscle.

Dr. Bates works with a wide range of patients. The youngest being six days old and 95 years old being the oldest. Some have previously had fusion of the spine and joint replacements. Dr. Bates especially enjoys working with those who are planning on being pregnant or are pregnant to allow them to enjoy their pregnancies and to recover more easily after delivery.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Any business has ups and downs, thankfully by God’s grace and perseverance. We have overcome. 2020 is example of that for each of us.
