Conversations with Kiara Holt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Holt.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story begins to find my passion in the fashion industry. I move to New York at the age of 22, not know what I was going to do, but I knew it entailed styling. As soon as I moved, I hit the ground running, interning at fashion publications, producing my editorial shoots.

I was fulfilled with my passion at this point in my life but still didn’t find my purpose. It was then I switched my focus onto personal styling. I didn’t know how to build my clientele, and around this time, Craigslist was around, so I created an ad, and boom, it worked! From there Holt Consults Style the brand was born!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No way! And as crazy as it sounds, I wouldn’t want it anyway. When I realized my struggles were not here to hurt. Me, but to help me, I learned to embrace each moment. Some struggles along the way were self-doubt, losing friends, living in a vast city yet some days feeling all alone, not sure on which route to take. There are several things! But I genuinely believe the struggles are what made me who I am today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Currently, I’m building my Lifestyle Brand! As a Lifestyle creator, Holt Consults Style is my baby! A lifestyle blog where looking, feeling, and doing good reside. My brand represents my purpose, and that’s helping women look and feel good. Now, it extends to men as well. Lol. But I’ve learned my superpower is adding joy. I am the light, I am the good juju provider, and I love to embrace that.

Last year, the pandemic hit me and the world like no other! I needed to find my light, so I went to Target specifically for their card section one day because everybody loves Target, right lol. I specially searched for cards that filled my mind with positivity. Instantly, I came across., “Act of Kindness” cards.

They’re cards that provide an inspirational message on one side and the other a random act of kindness to provide. I was blown away by the idea, so I thought, “Why not?” I began reading a card each day to my Instagram audience; They loved it! Each day I tried something new and allowed them to guide me along the way. We even got to a point where I named my “routine,” & it grew into “Tap Into Some Good” with Kiara! Crazy right?

Fast forward to today, I now post on my Instagram stories every Tuesday & Thursday for a “Tap Into Some Good” session! I am proud to say that I am not creating my very own cards!

It took alot of work to get here by now. I am known for being the girl that cares about your energy but can still make you feel good! This is my most authentic purpose, and I am so happy to bring that to light!

As a blogger, I’ve learned what sets me apart is my need to care for others, It’s not to say at all that bloggers don’t care, however, I understand I was gifted with something different and I’m tapping right into that!

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?

Great question! I would say that this isn’t my first rodeo. Before my blog, I created a plethora of ventures. I had an online consignment store called “She Is V,” where I collected women’s clothing and resold them online. I’ve interned for celebrities my audience wouldn’t even imagine! I once had a Youtube channel on my dating life, lol. I say all this to say I’m a content creator at heart, and when one venture didn’t work, I always leaped to try a new one!
