Today we’d like to introduce you to Da’Rious .
Hi Da’Rious, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, I’ve always loved the music of all genres. I was introduced to hip-hop by my Uncle Curtis when I was 10- 11 years old. He taught me the fundamentals of rap and how to freestyle to a beat. Since then, I have been in love with the Craft. During my artistic growth, I also learned I love hosting and putting together my invents, such as T.A.R (Time Ain’t Real) Pit showcase and Split Vinyl beat battles. I’ve dropped two singles, “Split Velvet” and my most recent “RAGE.”
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
It wasn’t, to be honest; I had struggled with a lot of self-doubt and procrastination because I wasn’t confident in myself.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in freestyling, songwriting, curating, and hosting. I love creating an experience. For the most part, I’m known for being the guy who rocks out on stage with his shirt off, screaming “IDGAF” while starting a moshpit 😂. I’m proud of my growth. I’m becoming more versatile as an artist. It doesn’t matter what genre I’m in. It’s an experience that takes me to a new level. I feel like what sets me apart is I like to have fun. I’m not rushing to be the “Goat” because I already know it’s in me.
