Conversations with Christina Mills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Mills.

Hi Christina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Christina Renee’, owner of, and mom of three, born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland.

I’ve been a Dental Assistant for over ten years specializing in Periodontistry, Prothsodontistry, Oral Surgery, and General Dentistry.

While working at the University Of Maryland Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, I specialized in Facial Prosthetics, Surgical Obturators, and Cosmetic work for recovering cancer patients.

Mid-September 2020, I decided to leave dentistry to stay home and focus on my family’s mental health. While being home, we’ve discovered new ways of self-expression and communication. Mindful products are a mixture of what helped me and my family get through the pandemic as well as what I’ve learned through professional assistance.

Created in October 2020, is a minority-owned, self-publishing stationery company. Our focus is to provide one-of-a-kind products that assist with guiding you in creating a haven to practice journalism as means of self-therapy.

As self-care is essential to our well-being, our primary focus is to become an advocate for mental health by ensuring space for creativity, self-exploration, and goal affirming through our various products and materials.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting my business from nothing and having very little knowledge of the stationery industry was extremely challenging.

I’ve faced so many obstacles trying to find vendors, searching for capital, and countless sleepless nights researching my niche and placing together my business plan.

In this beautiful struggle, I’ve found success in watching people center themselves on self-love and self-awareness.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I create custom tools for self-therapy and bulk corporate gifts.

My one-of-a-kind, undated, 6 months-guided journals and planners assist with radical self-care, productivity, and organization. These products are perfect for those moms on the go with high demanding jobs and lifestyles.

As a mom myself coming from that lifestyle, I noticed how much I’ve lost myself in helping others through watching my mental, physical and spiritual health deteriorate.

I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come in my healing journey. I’m Christian, so I know without faith I wouldn’t have been able to come this far. It warms my heart to see customers stand by my product. I’m extremely grateful.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Yes!!!! Lol, I’d love to recommend my current favorites: “You are your best thing” by Tarana Burke and Brene Brown, “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, “The Art of War for Women” by Chin-Ning Chu, just to name a few. I’ve been binge-listening to Invisible Blackness, hosted by the famous musician Adrian Younge, Truths Table, and Balanced Blackgirl Podcast.
