Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Kyser.
Hi Nicole, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Like most that end up in the fashion field, I have always had a true passion for fashion since I was a little girl… even as early as 5 years old. I’ve carried that ambition into my young adulthood and majored in Fashion Merchandising graduating from Kent State University.
Fast forward to three years ago I decided to take the leap and launch Pretty and Proper Boutique with the mission to provide fashionable, everyday styles to women on the go… most importantly moms.
My mission has always been to help provide confidence and a sense of self back to the busy, everyday woman in the form of comfort and style.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been smooth, but it has been rewarding. Being an entrepreneur gives you the power to have ownership in an entity that ultimately helps others.
As a one women team, I am the CEO/model/marketing team/inventory buyer and the list goes on and it is important to stay motivated no matter what.
As you know, we’re big fans of Pretty and Proper Boutique. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Pretty and Proper Boutique was created to provide fashionably casual styles for millennial women.
We offer casual clothing for women who prefer comfort but don’t want to sacrifice fashion or quality. We understand the need to be comfortable and its importance in your busy life. We aim to ease the pain point of never having anything to wear by offering versatility.
As a brand, we are dedicated to providing cost-conscious, fashionably yet casual options that can be worn time after time. We strive to empower you to feel confident and authentic no matter the occasion.
We believe in treating everyone with fairness and empowering women to feel/be confident in whatever they wear.
What does success mean to you?
Success is a subjective word and can mean anything to anyone. For me, success is being able to confidently show up as my authentic self in a space that is comfortable, fun, and a help to others.
Being able to provide a sense of happiness and confidence to women all over the world is a success to me.
