Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Caldwell.
Hi Jade, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Credit restoration and education became a passion of mine back in 2019. A friend of mine approached me about starting a business helping people fix their credit. At first, I was skeptical because I had never run a business before let alone help anyone fix their credit.
At the time my credit was pretty mediocre as well LOL! Ironically, I was interested in a job with a federal agency and was turned down because I didn’t meet the credit qualification. At that moment I knew that I would never let credit be the reason I would be denied for anything! I hired a large company to help me resolve my credit issues and there was no success. So, I decided to try doing it on my own, I was able to delete the inaccuracies that were plaguing my credit profile. It was at this point I knew I was ready. The feeling of having good credit again was such a high for me, I knew that I wanted others to have this feeling as well. So, I started working on close friends and family, once they were getting consistent results I started posting on social media.
In the midst of the pandemic, I did a soft launch, posting my client results and things really took off from there. This was really a turning point for me. People trusted me to give them a 2nd chance at life and it felt great.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have been some challenges in this business because most people think of the credit repair industry as a scam. There have been instances where people have had to study me as a person before actually committing to the service. I can absolutely relate as I myself had been burned before with the larger companies in the business.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a woman-minority-owned business that serves our clients by providing credit restoration and education. Our biggest emphasis is on education and our target audience is minority women. In the minority communities financial literacy is lacking. Lots of people are making poor financial decisions because they don’t have access to the same information as other communities. I am on a mission to change that.
Since the credit repair industry has a stained reputation, I want people to feel comfortable when they become clients knowing that their information is safe and that they are in good hands. They will no longer be confused about their finances but empowered with knowledge that will help them to achieve financial success. Give them confidence again, my clients and I are like family, the guidance we provide during the restoration process is still available way after they graduate from our program.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’d like to thank my husband for believing in me and being willing to share me with my clients and the business. There are lots of nights and weekends associated with building a business and he has been there to help in any way that he can. Often taking on the duty of Mr. Mom to our kids when I was present but not always available. I would also like to give credit to my family for always being supportive of my endeavors.
My mentor Arnita Johnson-Hall for giving me the confidence to take my brand to the next level, without her I would still be playing it small in my business. Lastly, my fellow credit besties who keep me grounded and sane in this crazy industry!
