Community Highlights: Meet Ashleigh Noelle of Xquisitely.Made Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashleigh Noelle.

Hi Ashleigh, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Oh man, where do I start? So I was furloughed from Hopkins due to the Covid-19 pandemic. About 3 months into that experience, there was a lot of uncertainty about the security of my job and returning to work.

I was already an avid candle lover pre-pandemic, but being home gave me time to actually try to make them myself. I am creative by nature, and I walk my days with anxiety and depression.

It was a really rough time for me, and instead of buying and supporting other candle makers, I ordered a kit from Amazon and started making my own, and the next thing I knew, I had an online store. I’ve been up and running for almost 2 years now, but I’m just getting into a space where it’s not a hobby.

It’s become my “pandemic baby” and I’m so proud.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nope! It’s hard. I didn’t plan to be a full business so when I launched, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know the specifics about marketing, and branding.

I just knew I made really good candles and I wanted to sell them. It was also hard juggling my full-time job, home life, and my business. My company caught the back burner when it came to work and home life, and in doing so, it was hard to stay motivated to keep showing up for myself.

Being an entrepreneur also takes you away from your family too. Ultimately, it’s a lot of sacrifices to be made in the beginning, and it’s not for the weak.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Xquisitely.Made Co. creates aromatherapy fragrances for self-care. Our brand creates hand-poured, non-toxic soy candles, soy wax melts, and room sprays. We research different types of oils and fragrances that can help offset minor stress and anxiety.

Allowing any of our products to be the perfect +1 to your self-care day. What sets our company apart from others is that our products are safer than your big store brand because our products don’t have the toxins in our products. All of our candles, wax melts, and sprays are hand-crafted by us, and there’s no drop shipping or private label. What makes us proud is that we are in a time when people are waking up and learning to be selfish with themselves.

They’re taking mental health days, they’re turning off their phones, and they’re saying no. We’re quitting jobs without a backup plan because we want to preserve our mental. Self-care isn’t a luxury or an option. It’s a necessity and you’re the first priority. We want our #TooLitCrew to find peace any way they can. Work stressful? We have a spray called Vibe Protection.

Feeling a little low on intimacy? We have a massage candle for that. Feeling like taking a nice bubble bath? Our Tranquil Dreams Collection is perfect for that. Need to vent in a safe space that doesn’t involve humans? We have journals for that. Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for all your self-care needs.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
