Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Silver.
Hi Tia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I discovered the world of princess parties while I was pursuing my BFA in Acting in San Francisco, CA. I wanted a fun way to make some extra money on the weekends and friend told me about a company that did children’s parties. I started working and quickly fell in love with seeing children’s faces light up when they saw their favorite fairytale character in person! When I moved back to Maryland in 2017, I decided to start my own party company to continue doing what I love. We started out with just my sister and I playing the same two characters. Flash forward four years: We now have 12 performers that serve the entire state of Maryland and the Washington DC area and we offer over twenty different characters with new ones being added all the time!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a small business by myself at 24 was far from easy! I had countless hours of research to figure out how to make my dream a reality. 2020 was by far the toughest year we’ve had thus far, almost putting us out of business. However, with some creativity and a little bit of pixie dust, we came up with a variety of virtual character experiences to continue to make even covid birthdays special. We are grateful to be back to working in-person (with proper safety precautions, of course). All of the struggles have been well worth it each time we make a child smile!

The Neverland Company specializes in children’s parties and event entertainment. With an assortment of characters to choose from; our performer’s story tell, sing, dance and delight your little one with a variety of activities, including face painting and character themed games. We provide top notch costumes to the best theatrically trained performers, ensuring only the highest standard of children’s entertainment.
Our mission is to provide the Ultimate Princess Experience like you’ve stepped right into your favorite fairytale! We are passionate about bringing magic to our community and to putting a smile on all faces, big or small. We love making magical memories that last a lifetime! We promise that we will always put every effort into all of the details of our characters, parties and events to create the best experience for you possible!

We love to collaborate with other local businesses and events! We have done “Paint with a Princess” events at a local pottery shop, drive-by parades, meet and greet brunches, holiday events, visited children’s hospitals and much more!
