Today we’d like to introduce you to Shavonne Letterlough.
Shavonne, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Shaesoulfultreats came about in the year 2020. Shaesoulfultreats is an infused dessert business. In 2020, I was diagnosed with scoliosis which was very painful. As I took the required approach to ease pain which was physical therapy, mild muscle spasm relievers and over the counter pain meds, which none were beneficial. In trying to find other sources of relief, I researched types of medicinal marijuana and ways it could relieve chronic pain. I found what I needed and applied for a mmcc(medical marijuana card). I wasn’t a fan of smoking everyday just to feel better so I looked into edibles and what I would need to make them. I already loved cooking so baking was even more enjoyable. After trying the edibles myself, I felt less pressure with the scoliosis and my back was more manageable. So in helping myself, I wanted to do the same for others who may experience chronic pain, depression, etc.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been too many setbacks with Shaesoultreats except not being able to sell as much product as I’d like. I am in the process of looking for my own place with my significant other so I can bake as much as I’d like or as often as orders would come in.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a recently enrolled student at CCBC. Taking up Office Skills.
How do you define success?
Success is to achieve your goals that you aspire through hard work and perseverance.
