Check Out Rochelle Williams’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rochelle Williams.

Hi Rochelle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
As a mom of 3 children at the age of 20, I wanted to give my children something to be proud of me, so I purchased my first house at 21. Whenever anyone would ask me about owning a home, I’d encourage them to do the same after years of preaching to people of all ages about how they should buy a home for their families, especially single parents. I decided to get into real estate and obtain my sales license to help families in my community create generational wealth for their families. This was back in 2014 after I had a baby and battled cancer. I took a break from my college classes to obtain my license and finished in December of 2014. I’ve worked with families since, and it still excites me when I close a deal; I helped a family!

In 2020 during the pandemic, I started a hobby making all-natural massage oils and turned it into a business called SOAP, LLC, also known as Soap for Dirty Minds. I have a background in sales and owning a storefront selling adult novelty and lingerie. It took me back to a time when I could tap into my spontaneous and free-spirited side; you know, my alter-ego personality, “Toy Lady,” where I could have fun. This was also something I did for my mental health and personal pleasure. I enjoy talking with individuals and couples and learning from them. Some may think my businesses are a weird combination, but that’s where you will see my versatility. That’s me! I can humble myself and adapt to people and situations without judging. I love people. I love me.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Not at all! I had a baby the year before, and my son was only a year old, making me a single mom of 4. I was also recovering from major surgery after my diagnosis of osteosarcoma. I had to walk with crutches while attending real estate school in the evenings after working a full-time job with 4 children. So there was a lot of hustling and running around. I did, despite all that was against me. I Thank God for my children because they’ve been with me through the process, helping me, loving me when I didn’t have much time, and just being supportive and understanding through everything.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I chose “Other” because I’m experienced in many departments and wear many hats. I’m a hustler. I get the job done! From corporate to sales and service, I believe there isn’t anything I can’t do or not much I haven’t done or tried.

I love having multiple streams of income. I own an online store for couples called SOAP, LLC, also known as Soap for Dirty Minds, where we sell lingerie, all-natural body massage oils, and bedroom accessories 😉. I’m also a Realtor, where I help families and investors purchase, rent, and sell real estate.

I believe my purpose is to help my brothers and sisters become financially stable, mentally and emotionally. I like to leave a positive mark in people’s lives. So if it’s seeing the smile on my client’s face at the closing table, helping a couple’s relationship, or helping to encourage someone to love themselves, I feel like I’m doing my part in spreading knowledge and love worldwide.

What I feel sets me apart from others is my energy and being; I’m me! I come from humble beginnings, and I will never forget them. I was always taught to treat people how I want to be treated and believe in good and bad karma. In personal matters and business, I always deal with people as individuals, so there is no judgment from me. People can be comfortable being themselves with me, and I believe that’s what sets me apart from the regular businesswoman or man. I can walk in any room and adapt; that’s a gift I’m proud to have.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
The Bible has always helped spiritually, emotionally, and mentally guide my life. I love motivational sermons and teachings. A few of my favorites are TD Jakes and Joyce Meyer’s sermons. I haven’t gotten into podcasts or blogs yet, but I like to read books specifically about my businesses and products. I’m currently trying to read “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill when I have spare time.

Some other books I’ve enjoyed our “How to be Twice as Smart” by Scott Witt, “Don’t Call me Inspirational ” by Harilyn Rousso, and all of Robert Greene’s books.
