Check Out Reshawn Threatt’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reshawn Threatt.

Hi Reshawn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
You could say that art has been part of my life since I was a child. After all, I was the one the teachers would rely on for Holiday drawings for festivals. Being a kid in elementary school, knowing I made someone else happy by drawing and doing what I love made me feel special.

I remember how excited I would get for my art class even after a long day of math and language arts. Art gave me what I believe is my motivation and purpose in life. I mostly drew as a kid, but as I got older I found myself exploring the camera features on my HTC mobile phone. I loved the way I was able to transform people, environments, and other things. My interest in photography didn’t stop there.

After graduating from Baltimore City College High School. I attended college at Frostburg State University, determined to master my skills. I got my degree in photography, and graphic design. There I discovered what I wanted to do with myself. I want to do music and fashion photography.

My passion for them both shines throughout the magazine covers and music covers that I produce.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There will always be bumps on the road. My biggest struggle will always be time viability.

I spend most of my time at work, keeping up with bills, and rent. I find it hard to make time for my art while also trying to secure the basic needs of life. It’s become very easy to choose to not start a project because I know my work would get in the way.

But how I overcome this struggle is by requiring time off, but of course, there’s a disadvantage of missing work I’ll get paid for.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I would say my specialty consist of things in the music world and fashion world. I love taking pictures of my friends and their best outfits and just making them superstars that’s one of the things I love doing making people feel better about themselves.

Far as my music world I love doing cover arts magazine covers and just promotional photography for different artists. I work with artists such as Pretty Boi P, HP Cammo, Hellblazer, BlockbabySmiley, EBaby, and more. I would say I’m mostly known for using lots of colors and different elements of my environments inside of my photography.

I am most proud of all the connections that I’ve made with people in the photography business, I’m most proud of how I make people feel after I edit photos and take photos. What makes me stand out outside of other creatives?

I would say it’s me making it my personal goal to make someone feel happier prettier more attractive just the better person. I turn my models into icons.

What do you think about luck?
I would say I am very fortunate to know people in the music world that have given me connections to different artists that need to work and need products that I’m able to put together for them.
