Check Out Rashaad Williams’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashaad Williams.

Hi Rashaad, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started when a photographer from California came to my church in 2017 to complete an internship for the Baltimore sun. As we began building a relationship, he started to show me the basics of photography and gave me pointers, details, and tricks to help drive me to better photography skills. And the rest is history!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been entirely smooth. With all things business, there will always be obstacles attempting to chase you away from doing what you love. Still, with drive and the correct tools, I’d tackled all types of issues, such as the lack of skill set and even the insecurities of the product produced at the time.

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I specialize in photography. I have been most successful in headshot photography and wedding photography realm. And in these niches, I am most proud of the customer service aspect of growth in my career. Without communication skills, there would be no business. There is no way to have skills that matter for no purpose. That sets me apart, as I focus on a customer’s need and go above and beyond for them.

How would we have described you growing up if we knew you were growing up?
I was very artistic as a child, yet I always kept to myself. I always wanted to express my art but never knew how. But once I found the right direction, I blew in my avenue of art.
