Check Out Larrice Seibert’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larrice Seibert.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I started my first business in 2018, I was absolutely clueless about being an entrepreneur. I was still working a full-time job that was demanding and stressful. “WeekendLuxe Polish” started because of my obsession for nail polish and I wanted to create my own brand that was created with “clean” ingredients. Once “WeekendLuxe Polish” launched, it did not take me long to get discouraged which led to its dissolution. I hadn’t done my research prior to and I just jumped up and created a brand, the thought was much easier than the execution. Despite “WeekendLuxe Polish” being unsuccessful, I knew I couldn’t completely give up on my passion. So I devoted two years to research nail polish ingredients, building my knowledge about the beauty industry, (re)branding and entrepreneurship. And in 2020 Rilate was born!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any new journey, obstacles were anticipated. As a new entrepreneur, I expected a serious learning curve when it came to entrepreneurship. What I didn’t expect was that I would be my own obstacle to success. Although entrepreneurship appeared to be glamorous, there were some humbling steps that I needed to climb. There was some additional effort that I had to put in, I had to live, love, and breathe my dream, my brand. And as stated earlier, my lack of knowledge and research led to the missteps of “WeekendLuxe Polish” and it was heartbreaking to watch it wither. My obsession had become my passion which became my dream and only I had the motivation and tenacity to make my dream a reality. Although the beauty industry is growing rapidly, I now know that “Rilate” is in a lane of its own by staying true to its value and purpose. I have remained committed to my efforts of using “clean” ingredients, maintaining a creative mindset, and staying abreast of up-and-coming beauty trends and standards. My biggest lessons from “WeekendLuxe Polish” to “Rilate” have been to embrace the challenges, they make you a stronger individual, to learn from the lessons in life and business, and that hearing the word “no” does not erase your dream. This journey continues to teach me to be diligent and steadfast, but not to be too hard on myself. I have learned that missteps are a part of the learning experience and that they are to be used to drive “Rilate” to the level of success it was created to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work? What is your brand known for? What sets you apart from others and what are you most proud of?
I am the founder and CEO of Rilate. Rilate is a luxury nail care brand that specializes in long wear lacquers. The brand is known for its carefully curated vegan formulation. Along with being 21 free and non toxic. Not to mention the sleek one of a kind Italian glass bottles that are recyclable. What makes me most proud is the feedback I receive from the ladies. Knowing my brand makes them feel luxurious or is a part of their self care ritual and lifestyle, let’s me know I’ve fulfilled a goal of mine! It’s a great feeling. What sets Rilate apart from other brands is that it’s more than a brand it’s a lifestyle.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Since beginning my entrepreneurship journey, I have followed Samia Gore on Instagram. Her personal testimony has inspired and motivated me to keep going and growing. She reminds me to remain consistent and focused, embrace the smaller steps of success, and enjoy my journey to the top. She has become not just my mentor, but she has become my big sister.

My dream would not be a reality without my mother, Denise Seibert. My mom has been an entrepreneur for over 32 years and she is the blueprint for “failure is not being an option.” She was actually my first boss. Not only did I inherit her phenomenal work ethic, but I also learned accountability and responsibility. Even from childhood, my mother has always been someone I have admired and she is the person I aspire to be. I am very much appreciative of all her solicited and (unsolicited) expertise and I am beyond blessed to have her unconditional support.

Lastly, my supporters and customers, who have been faithful since 2018, without them my Rilate would not be the success it has been. I am so thankful for them and with their support, I know Rilate will continue to be successful.
