Today we’d like to introduce you to Jocelyn Strand.
Hi Jocelyn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I (Jocelyn) have for both traveling and food. Traveling is something that has been a part of my life since a child. My family has always been about enjoying different kinds of experiences through travel (cruises, train, road trips, resorts etc.) My enjoyment of the exposure to new things has carried on into my adult life, and I look forward to my next experience as soon as the last one ends. Traveling as an adult has been great for me in more ways than one. I have been able to use that time to help tap into my creativity (hence Jocelyn Journeys) while taking some time to disconnect from everyday life and recharge. Another benefit of traveling in adulthood is the ability to create memories and share experiences with others of your choice or even a solo trip if need be.
Like most families, food has been and still is a big part of our bonding time. Taking the time out of our schedules to fellowship with one another, catch up on our achievements and even celebrate major milestones are all surrounded by good food. Traveling to different continents, countries and cities has allowed me the opportunity to taste authentic dishes from places they have originated from and even snag a recipe or two to create my own rendition at home.
Because my close family and friends all know how much I enjoy traveling and great food, they would always come to me for suggestions when ready to book a trip or reservation. I would recommend places I had been to multiple times, once and even places I had been eyeing for a while but hadn’t made it yet. Every time, they would come back to me, thanking me for my advice and asking where to next. This when I was sure I wanted to share my experiences with any and everyone who was interested.
Jocelyn Journeys brings all these components together in one place, my Instagram page (JocelynJourneys). As a food & travel blogger and content creator, I have decided to take people on my journeys with me both near and far. My Instagram profile consists of a number of restaurants I have been to here in Baltimore and other cities I have traveled to. I create picture collages and videos to highlight the experience(s) I had. I have also started networking and connecting with other bloggers in both the food and travel arenas. I see a bright future for Jocelyn Journeys as I continue to navigate the world exploring the many experiences it has it offer from right in my backyard to thousands of mile away.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Because Jocelyn Journeys is very new, I do not even think I have begun to tap the bumps in the road that I will come across. I will say thus far, my biggest area of opportunity has been making my presence known. Outside of family and friends, I want to build a following who is interested in the content I am providing. I know they are out there. It is just a matter of placing myself in their view.

I also have my very own Youtube channel called (Leopard Luvahh). My channel is about lifestyle and of course traveling. I record the things that are happening in my daily life along with my family and friends while we are on trips. It is exciting to be able to capture and share once-in-a-lifetime moments and create everlasting memories with those close to me.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Because I am very much a girls, girl meaning I love all things girly (hair, makeup, clothes, shopping, etc.) something others may not know about is my love for sports. I love both football and basketball and have even traveled a few times to see my favorite teams play.
