Check Out HOSSACIP’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to HOSSACIP.

Hi HOSSACIP, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I always used music as a way to express myself and get my point across. My name was inspired by Pablo “Picasso”. After adding my twist to the name, I go by “HOSSACIP”, which is Picasso backwards. “HOSSACIP” is “Harmonious” “Optimstic” “Spotaneous” “Sufficient” “Artistic” “Constant” “Innovatator” “Prolific”

At the age of nine, I dabbled in poetry then eventually progressed into rapping. I started out in a rap group name N.To.Deep and I believed it really helped shaped my creativity. After parting ways, I decided to keep taking music seriously by writing more and performing. Since then, I’ve performed at over 5 venues in Baltimore city and released two demos, “Checkpoint 1.0 & Checkpoint 2.0”. My first official video dropped November 5th, 2021 “See The Glow”. All of my music is registered and available on all streaming platforms. I look forward to networking with other entrepreneurs and artist.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One struggle that I faced that has always been a constant struggle is finding good business. Most entrepreneurs in this industry are not professional and it can really affect your business. Another struggle is self-doubt which can hinder a lot of good songs from being released. At a point in my life, I would write and sometimes and even record a song but end up not putting it out. Now I put everything out that I record because you never know what song will be a hit.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an artist specializing in writing music within the rap/hip hop genre. I will write for other artists as well. I take pride in having meaningful music and being able to get my point across without using profanity.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Performing with my cousins at my Aunt’s Tattoo party. I remember my cousin gave me a Boston Celtics jersey with no name on the back and you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t fly.
