Daily Inspiration: Meet Ketron Wise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ketron Wise. Them and their team share their story with us below:

In 2009, Koche (pronounced ko-che) was founded to solve a mother’s problem. The owner wanted to provide her son with a holistic way to manage his sensitive, dry skin.

Today we’re located in two stores in Maryland (Blank Slate in Annapolis Mall & Sacred Spaces in Hampden). I’ll also be in Collective by Marva Elaine in Atlanta starting December 2022 and Flying Solo in NY starting March 2023.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, I originally didn’t set out to sell any products, my goal was to help my son. It just sort of blossomed into a business. Working a full-time job only allowed me to treat it as a hobby. I didn’t put much effort into growing the business until 2020.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I make handmade plant-based skincare products for individuals with sensitive, dry skin.

I specialize in cold-processed soaps, body butter creams, after-shower oils, and deodorant creams.

I’m known for my after-shower oils and buttercreams.

I’m most proud of the fact that my products help individuals that are suffering from dry, itchy skin naturally.

More than half of my line is Unscented and contains a plant-milk

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in destiny and divine order.
