Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Schramm.
Hi Madison, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always wanted to have a blog, and during the pandemic, I had more downtime, which allowed me to pursue that dream. I started my blog madsandmore.com in 2020 with the quote “start somewhere” in mind. If you never start something, you’ll never know the opportunities that could arise for you. Since then, I’ve been given the amazing opportunity of working with some of my favorite brands, met a supportive community of micro-content creators, and, most importantly, am having the best time creating.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One thing I struggled with was comparing. Is my blog as cohesive as theirs? Is my content as compelling as theirs? It was a hurdle I thankfully overcame, but I think it’s important to talk about because social media opens the door for comparison to others. It would be boring if everyone were writing about the same things/posting the same content. There will always be an audience for you. In the end, if you’re doing what you love and putting out content, you’re proud of, that’s all that matters.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a year post-grad with a degree in journalism and public relations, and I’m currently working as social media coordinator for a local boutique. I’ve wanted to work in social media for as long as I can remember. I genuinely love creating; whether it be writing a blog post, filming a TikTok/Reel, or shooting content for Instagram, I’m so content in those moments. I think I’m most proud of starting my blogging/micro-creator journey. It’s a never-ending growth path, and I’m so happy to be on that journey.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to continue my blog and content creation for as long as I enjoy it!
I’m looking forward to taking a big step forward in my career and taking on more responsibility in that phase of my life.
