Today we’d like to introduce you to Lourdes C. Ortega Huerta.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Lourdes C. Ortega Huerta I came to the USA from Ecuador when I was 14 years old, my parents brought me here as an immigrant, went to high school in Dayton, Ohio, after a year, I moved to Baltimore, MD graduated from Patterson high school, and attend Baltimore city community college.
At age of 20 years, I have my first son, Ryan Mackain, and he give me the reason to pursue as an entrepreneur woman, I work in different areas, as a waiter, cashier, housekeeping, cleaning houses, secretary, community organizer, and work as financial services and finally in 2017, I decided to open my office as multiservice, offering all the services the community needs.
Through all the years that I have been in this country, I receive so many certifications as a tag and title agent, tax preparer, life insurance license, notary, business consulting license, CPR license, nursing assistant license, and much more.
Now after 5 years in business as an entrepreneur woman, I am married had my beautiful daughter, Leena, and my son Ryan, they are the reason why I dream big. I want to inspire, more Latina women that are in this country that you can succeed in anything you want you just have to work hard and keep learning new things.
And anything is possible just dream big.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way? It’s not been a smooth road, first, I did not the language, my first language is Spanish, and then I did not have a legal document to work or study in this country.
Also, the culture and the systems that this country has, there were many days when I was going to school, that I just sleep two hours a day for two years, I did sacrifice my son, most of the time he spend time just with my parents.
That was the biggest struggle I had.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
G&R MULTI SERVICES INC is a unique company offering all the services that the community needs, working as a community organizer, I saw the need for the community needs especially the people who just speak Spanish, we are here to care about our people, educate, and solve problems that they may have.
We are a certified and accredited company to do income taxes file, personal and companies, we are certified by the state of Maryland to do tag & title. A certified translator by the MYA to do translation services we help our community to get their driver license, we have a professional attorney, for traffic, criminal, family, accident, and immigration, we have approved notary public, we have licensed agent in life insurance, we have third companies to send money all over the world.
We are 8 people working and committed to impacting people’s lives.
