Today we’d like to introduce you to Charae Davis.
Hi Charae, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
A lifelong love of travel and a keen eye for aesthetically pleasing swimsuits, I began to capture my adventures in 2016 with Instagram. I was always known for my loving energy, positive affirmations, and thought-provoking conversations.
Traveling often, my photos began to attract followers from all over the country, but the women looking for encouragement as I expressed my comfortability and confidence with my body always meant the most to me.
Finding all the hottest swimsuits and posting eye-catching photos attracted an overflow of direct messages and an exponential number of followers. I decided I needed to follow my passion to influence people to love themselves and the world around them through swimwear. This was a business I could run by being my natural self, all while uplifting women as well.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road of course has been bumpy, but so worth it. There are times where I didn’t see the immediate value in my product. That’s not until I paired the perfect swimsuit with a customer who never even explored the option of wearing a 2 piece. Even the idea of selling swimwear in the winter sounded crazy to me! But pushing through and remembering it’s always sunny somewhere in the world. Finding the perfect vendor and fighting through procrastination. Balancing motherhood and working a full-time job as a Project Manager. There are always so many reasons to be discouraged, but a million more reasons to keep going and see how far I can really take Swim Deep.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I sell swimwear for the fashion-forward but also for the first-time 2-piece wearer. It’s alllll about confidence with Swim Deep. I want every woman to feel sexy and most importantly, free. I want them to think outside of their box and dare to try something different. I believe by pouring love and undeniable energy into women their confidence level raises. That’s always the goal.
We currently offer a variety of swimsuits and coverups. We are launching our plus line in February 2022.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My peers! Honestly, almost ALL of my closest friends are entrepreneurs or artists. Watching them create their own lane and prosper off of their creative talents had always been inspiring. Watching them day in and day out build up their businesses and projects gave me the confidence to jump out there and start my own business.
