Today we’d like to introduce you to Dejeuné Harris.
Hi Dejeuné, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My love for fashion started very early. I loved playing dress-up in my grandmother’s clothes and heels. I was blessed with two fabulous grandmothers and their sophistication had a major influence on me. I used to style my barbies and make outfits for them with my socks and scarves.
Fast forward, I would find unique ways to style my school uniform and people would always ask me “what should I wear with?” My first retail job was in the Banana Republic when I was 16. This is where I learned styling mechanics such as the benefit of tailoring and investing in quality wardrobe basics. I would bring items into the fitting room that I thought customers would like. After I graduated from high school, my 7th grade English teacher called me about an intern position with a boutique owner. I began working for Tam Lee, owner of Hush Boutique until I went to Johnson & Wales in North Miami to study fashion merchandising.
I went for a year and moved back home and I put my fashion dreams on hold for what I thought was indefinite. In 2012, I had my rainbow baby Isacc Dyson and got my passion renewed. I went back to school for Fashion Merchandising at UDC and I dipped my foot into everything I could: Sewing, blogging, fashion show coordinating, and editorial styling.
I was tired of working for other people and wanted a legacy of my own, and I knew that I wanted to use all of my experiences to help women and that’s how Your Style is Forever was born. Your Style is Forever just celebrated 5 years!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! I’ve pulled myself out of a domestic violent relationship, I dealt with imposter syndrome, feeling overlooked all while being a single mom. I wouldn’t trade my struggles because they were necessary for my path. I am very grateful that I can proudly say I’ve overcome so much and was able to nurture something so authentic.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a personal stylist who helps women to elevate their wardrobe through style education and style strategy. I specialize in assisting women to identify their personal style and enhance it. Everyone has a personal style and I pull that out of them. I am the proudest of creating my lane in one of the top industries in the world. I created the Little Black Bag which is an outfit saver.
The Little Black Bag is a toolkit for any wardrobe malfunction; stain wipes, pre-threaded needles, breast tape, and more. My styling method is more intrinsic and intentional. I feel that your wardrobe should not only be stylish but have a purpose. Working with what you have is more valuable than how much, quality over quantity.
What are your plans for the future?
I want to continue to grow Your Style is Forever with brand partnerships, television shows, and podcasts. My greatest goal is to create a nonprofit for moms who are domestic violence victims to help them on their healing journey through style. Fashion was an integral component to me regaining my self-esteem and I want to help other moms achieve the same thing.

You really came a long ways Dejeuné. I’m so proud of you. I like your style of fashion. My Assistant manager Miss Manika says she works with you and you promoted her to something. You’re very loved for your fashion.❤❤
