Today we’d like to introduce you to Marvin Villanueva.
Hi Marvin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Started back in 2014 when I decided to get serious about Performing and Filming Music Videos (Ima Rapper b4 Videographer) at the time I was working with someone on “Take Over DVD”, I didn’t like the direction this individual was going, so I started my own “YEAH MEAN DVD” and I would promote it through THE G.G.I RADIO and people was interested in being part and I started getting clients, features, showcase, and photoshoots.
Every day from then on, I had something going on. My work is not what it used to look like nowadays because I’ve perfected watching others how they shoot and edit, and I’ve grown to love this videography life, it’s fun to meet new people, learn the business side, I can educate someone new to this. 2020 I started my own podcast (GUANAKOOO PODCAST) but since the pandemic started, I had changed it up to doing Music Reviews, it’s cool people from all over the world send their music.
I also recently (2020) started making little clips about “Music Biz 101” how it works for Baltimore Artists, I see a lot of ppl taking advantage of our artists and it’s not taking them where they would like to be in their music careers. it’s been great!!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been all right, ups, and downs, lots of learning but it’s needed in this business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My Artists name is Guanako King, Guanako means Salvadoran, I rap both English and Spanish, I’m known to be a beast on the mic lol, especially, when I rap in Spanish, I love when people go crazy when I perform, they turn up, they might not understand what I’m saying but they get lit.
I’m proud that I can prove people wrong about me and turn them into haters, that way I know how weak they are lol “You’ll be alright B”. What sets me apart from others, I don’t let this city discourage me, it raised m to be tuff so I’ll go all out.

when I deliver a final product and the client loves my work.
