Meet Rebecca Greenberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Greenberg.

Hi Rebecca, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My love of photography goes way back for me. It began in high school. I took somewhat I thought were “easy” electives, one happened to be photography. I began to fall in love with creating and capturing a moment in time forever in a frame. I took every photography class that school had to offer. From there I began to do photography as a hobby, then a side job turned career. Learning beside another fellow photographer/videographer/brother-in-law to teach me the ropes and be there when I had questions. To me it’s not just a picture, it’s a moment in time captured forever for someone to look at days, weeks, or even years from now. That person can have an emotion associated with that memory the picture brings, whether bad or good. It helps the viewer to feel something. My older sister too shared a love of photography, she inspired me. Unfortunately, when she passed away, all I had were pictures. She was the most amazing person this world was blessed to have and it only feels right to take her on this dream with me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I can’t say it has always been a smooth road. Covid really took a toll on my 2020 bookings, I went for months without a single customer. I was months from opening my own photography studio before covid began to really hit and then, unfortunately, could not follow through with those plans. I will try again opening my own studio when the world gets back to normal completely. In fact, me and my fiancé have recently moved out to the country part of Maryland and I’m starting to think of offering seasonal mini photoshoots in my beautiful scenic backyard!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I really specialize in outdoor family photography. I love shooting with pets and children! It brings me so much joy to see the happiness of families and couples in a beautiful setting and be able to capture that in a photo. I’m most proud of the fact that I feel I learn and grow creatively from each photoshoot. I love learning and advancing my photography in every way! I’ve done event photography, weddings, headshots, families, couples, and pets! I really don’t turn down anything! What sets me apart from other photographers is I never put a limit on how many photos a customer can receive from a photoshoot. I enjoy what I do and I want the customer to be just as happy with how many options they have to choose from, the more photos, the more options, and potential favorite shots.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see my company hopefully opening some office studio space and becoming an LLC in the next few years. I see a potential room for customer increase. I also plan on taking some more advanced classes to sharpen my skills!
