Life & Work with Brandon De’Sean of DC & Surrounding Areas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon De’Sean.

Hi Brandon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started by being in 2 groups with a different name and then changing my name to what is today and getting affiliated with another, those gave me my start officially. Growing up in my house hold I was exposed to different genres of music so that helped me a lot. I studied music and the music community and then one day I literally just jumped into the scene and now I’m here.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road haven’t been smooth because you don’t have all the time in the world. You have to worry about your 9 to 5 and also budget, this ish is expensive lol. Then in relationships and friendships some, not all don’t understand the process and what you’re trying to do so thats annoying.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I been proud of everything even the things that held me back because everything was an experience to get me where I am right now. I been booking mad shows, nominated for awards and more so I’m happy right now. I’m strategic and passionate at what I do that’s what sets me apart from most.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Just let if flow, dont stress it, and don’t overthink the process because it will set you back mentally and thay will make you now want to do this anymore or get aggravated by everything.
