Today we’d like to introduce you to Myron Owens.
Hi Myron , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ok well I go by Bari. My Muslim name is jabbari. On social media everybody know me as DancingBari.
I been dancing all my life since I can remember. As I got older it wasn’t a spot I wouldn’t dance at bus stop, on break from work, subway station, etc.. No matter where I was at I would dance because thats what I love to do and it runs in the family.
Honestly I never thought about being famous for dancing or being known for it. It was just something I truly love to do.
Then one day I was like 19, one of my favorite Baltimore dancers “Marky D” had reposted 1 of videos on his Twitter/instagram & when people seen that it sky rocketed. I was dancing to OT Genesis “Push It”.
And from that day Me & Marky locked in and locked in on doing dance videos.
Fast forwarded 2 years I had my son (Kha’Ri) & a year later I had my daughter (Wynter). When I had my kids it thrive me to put all my dreams and goals forwarded and lock in.
So from 2018-2024 I been locked in on content, doing things for the community with the kids, give backs, feeding the homeless and outta my pocket cause I never had the resources. God bless you even more when you do it from yourself with no help from others & genuine about your actions.
Let push to 2025 I locked in with my guy Devin but everybody know him as “Turk P Diddy”. I was never in to the music lane cause I don’t know how to rap wasn’t my strong suit. Being social media famous and having the kind of swag I had all of my supporters said “Bari you got the look, you got the energy why not rap”. So this where my guy Turk came in. When I met Turk he was doing music but it wasn’t the primary goal (Personal reasons). So hit him up & said “Aye Turk you trying make a song wit me”. Turk was against it at first cause I wasn’t a rapper then we talk. Turk seen my work ethic & that made him say yea 100 times fast.
So me and Turk made our first song “Hold Me Tight” with over 98k streams.
Then things was just looking good for us so we made 2 more singles “Party at Biddy’s & YEDAMEAN”. With that we just made a 12 song album called WEDAFUNCTION. And just been locking in, pushing, & just working harder we can’t let up.
But honestly with all the followers I have and love and support I get, I really gotta shout out my guys Carnell & Marky D. I appreciate them guys for making videos with me and make me more relevant in the city. & 1 more thing I wanna shout Out “Tv Biddy” for giving me a chance to host parties with him and make money. When everybody counted me out biddy locked in with me with no excuses. Thanks you guys
That’s pretty much a lil summary of my life style and how I got to it here.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing everything was smooth. And that’s because we live in a crab in a barrel city so honestly your city don’t really wanna see you win when you doing something better than rest or the same.
So the only rough patch was just the confusion of things with the city. Besides that everything turnt out great and me and a few people made admen’s and everything is copacetic
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
A do a few things I dance, I make music now. I love to cook, I’m a anime guy and I’m a gamer. I’m a character I’m goofy lol I’m a Taurus so very outgoing.
I specialize in being me.creative.
I’m proud of continuing to live out my future dreams with my kids, family and supporters
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Besides seeing my kids want nothing.
I love seeing everybody else happy, and the reason for that is because if I’m having a bad day or anything and I see somebody that’s happy with smile just living a good normal life makes me even small gestures I be seeing makes me happy.
Lol I’m a man don’t take that much to make me happy
