Check Out Tiera Nicole’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiera Nicole.

Hi Tiera, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Whew, my story is really one of losing myself and finding my way back to me.

I became a single mom during one of the hardest seasons of my life. I was abandoned during my pregnancy, experienced relationship trauma at the hands of someone I loved, and for a long time, I was just surviving. Being a mom, working, taking care of everybody else… all the things. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I realized I had lost Tiera Nicole.

So I started doing the work to find me again. I learned how to choose myself, set boundaries, heal, and fall in love with my life again. That journey eventually became my book, A Rose Is Still A Rose: The Journey to Rediscovering YOU (After Relationship Trauma). Now I use my story to remind other women, especially single moms, that what you’ve been through doesn’t get to define how your story ends. You can be bruised and still bloom, chile.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Chile, where do I start? I’ve faced my share of obstacles. Becoming a single mother unexpectedly was probably one of the biggest. I had to learn how to raise my son while also trying to heal myself and figure out who I was in this new version of my life.

I’ve also had to overcome relationship trauma (domestic violence), heartbreak, and the challenge of rebuilding my confidence after losing myself in my relationship. And then there’s the everyday reality of being a solo mom… Balancing motherhood, a job, my dreams, and still trying to make room for Tiera in the middle of it all.

But I think my biggest challenge has been learning that I don’t always have to be the strong one. I can rest. I can ask for help. I can choose myself. And I can still build a beautiful life, even if it looks completely different from the one I originally imagined.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an author, content creator, speaker, and the woman behind The Solo Mom Life blog. I specialize in creating content around single motherhood, healing after relationship trauma, self-love, and rediscovering yourself after you’ve spent so much time being everything to everybody else.

I’m known for being transparent about what healing and solo motherhood actually look like, but I also like to throw a little humor in there because, sometimes we need to laugh! I never want women to come to my platform and only be reminded of how hard motherhood can be. I want them to feel seen, but I also want them to find some joy there.

Through my content and my book, I remind women that life after heartbreak and through motherhood can still be soft, fun, beautiful, and full of purpose.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Despite some of the challenges I faced with my father not being around, I had an amazing childhood, so it’s honestly hard to choose just one memory!

But if I had to pick, it would definitely be Friday pizza nights with my mom. She was a single mother too, and every Friday was our time to block out the rest of the world and just enjoy each other. We’d grab some Domino’s, pick out a Blockbuster movie, and end the night with sherbet ice cream. Nothing fancy but I looked forward to those Fridays!
