Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began in 2016 with a simple love for fashion — selling clothing and couture looks in local fashion shows. From being behind the scenes to being inspired by every model, designer, and glam team, I knew this was what I was meant to do.
In 2018, I became licensed and turned that passion into a profession. Since then, I’ve been moving forward and building my brand from the ground up.
Today, I work for myself as well as contract for others, offering hair, makeup, clothing sales, creative direction alongside photographers, and full event coordination and production. My business is built on creativity, hustle, and helping others look and feel their best — on and off the runway
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey hasn’t been easy. As a lower-income, first-generation entrepreneur, I built my business from nothing. I’ve been bullied, shamed, talked about, targeted online, and I’ve had doors closed on me simply because of how I look.
It’s been bittersweet and tough, but it’s also been the most rewarding experience of my life. To fulfill my dream and break barriers that were never meant for me to break — that’s everything. My obstacles didn’t stop me, they shaped me
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do hair, makeup, sell fashion clothing, collaborate with photographers, and produce fashion events. I started in 2016 selling clothes and volunteering in shows and got licensed in 2018.
I specialize in full transformations and I’m known for building confidence, not just a look.
I’m most proud of building my business from scratch as a first-generation, low-income entrepreneur.
What sets me apart is my mission: I’m shifting what the future sees as fashion and what a model body is — because beauty should be inclusive and every body belongs.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 10 to 15 years, I see the beauty and fashion industry becoming much more inclusive, digital, and global — and I see my business growing right with it.
I hope to be educating others, growing my business more online and worldwide, traveling the world collaborating with photographers, and teaching the younger generation. I want to create a platform where I can not only do hair, makeup, and fashion, but also teach young creatives how to turn their passion into a real business, just like I did.
