Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Strong.
Hi Andrea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story really began with creativity, faith, and a desire to build something of my own. I’ve always had different ideas and creative interests, but over time I realized that they weren’t random — they were pieces of a bigger purpose.
Becoming a mother also changed the way I viewed my life and my goals. I wanted to create a life where I could be present for my children while still pursuing the things God placed in me. That hasn’t always been easy. There have been seasons where I’ve had to navigate uncertainty, financial pressure, motherhood, and the temptation to put my dreams on hold just to survive.
Instead of allowing those seasons to completely derail me, I began learning how to keep moving forward even when everything around me felt unclear. That experience eventually became the foundation for what I now call my Tunnel Vision Framework — building your faith, building yourself, building the plan, taking action, and ultimately creating the results you’re working toward.
Today, I’m building Andrea Latia as a personal brand centered around purpose, faith, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Through SeekTheTouch, I’m bringing together my passion for beauty, hair, creativity, and ministry, while continuing to develop a larger vision for what I want to create in my community.
I’m still very much in the building stage, and that’s actually one of the most important parts of my story. I’m not sharing a story from the finish line. I’m building in real time, learning how to trust God, take action, and stay focused on the vision even when the circumstances around me don’t look the way I imagined.
For me, the journey has become less about proving that I can build a successful business and more about becoming the woman capable of carrying the vision I’ve been given. And I’m just getting started.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve experienced seasons of homelessness, survived a traumatic shooting, gone through the end of a relationship with the father of my children, and faced the challenges that come with rebuilding your life while raising a family.
There have been moments when survival became the priority, and I had to learn how to keep going even when life looked completely different from what I imagined. I’ve had to rebuild emotionally, financially, personally, and professionally more than once.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that when you spend so much time surviving, it can become easy to lose yourself in everything that needs to be done. You can become so focused on making it through the current season that you stop thinking about the life you’re still capable of building.
That realization is a huge part of why I created my Tunnel Vision Framework. I wanted a practical way to remind myself—and eventually other people—that your circumstances don’t have to become the definition of your future.
I’m still building today, and I’m still overcoming things. But I no longer believe that having obstacles means I have to abandon the vision. I’ve learned to build my faith, build myself, build the plan, take action, and keep moving forward even when the road isn’t clear.
My story isn’t one of having everything figured out. It’s a story of continually rebuilding, choosing purpose, and refusing to let the hardest seasons of my life have the final say.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
SeekTheTouch is a faith-centered beauty and creative brand built around the belief that beauty and purpose can exist in the same space. What began from my love for hair and creativity has grown into a larger vision that connects beauty, ministry, self-expression, and entrepreneurship.
Through SeekTheTouch, I currently specialize in hairstyling specifically sleek ponytails and quick weaves, with a focus on creating polished, confidence-building looks while making the experience feel personal and intentional. But the brand is about more than the service itself. “Where ministry meets beauty” is at the heart of what I’m building because I want people to leave not only feeling beautiful, but also encouraged, seen, and reminded of who they are.
What sets SeekTheTouch apart is the heart behind it. I’m not interested in building a brand that is only focused on appearance. I want to create an environment where creativity, faith, beauty, and community can intersect. My long-term vision is to expand SeekTheTouch into a creative space that can serve hairstylists, dancers, creators, and other entrepreneurs while providing opportunities for people to develop their gifts.
I’m most proud that the brand is being built from something personal. I’ve experienced seasons where I had to rebuild my own confidence, purpose, and direction, and those experiences influence how I want to serve others. I want readers to understand that SeekTheTouch is still growing, but the vision is much bigger than where the brand currently stands. I’m building something designed to make people feel beautiful, empowered, connected, and inspired to pursue what God has placed inside of them.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
