Life & Work with Tiffany Anye’ of DC & Surrounding Areas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Anye’.

Hi Tiffany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My passion for photography began in high school, where I took my first photography classes. During my sophomore year, I enrolled in a beginner-friendly photography class and purchased my first camera. During my senior year, I enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) Photography class, and that experience solidified my decision to pursue photography professionally. I was accepted into Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) School of the Arts to pursue a major in photography. However, once I arrived I realized that path wasn’t the right fit for me. I changed my major but remained committed to photography, deciding to develop my skills independently.

While at VCU, I joined a photography and modeling organization where photographers, models, and other creatives collaborated in photoshoots, while building our portfolios and learning from one another. That experience allowed me to gain hands-on practice, expand my creativity, and strengthen my confidence behind the camera.

In 2018, I officially launched Anye’Visions, a photography brand dedicated to capturing meaningful moments through high-quality, creative imagery. Like many entrepreneurs, my journey wasn’t perfectly consistent. Balancing school, work, and other interests sometimes pulled me away from photography, but it was always something I found my way back to.

Today, I continue to refine my craft by experimenting with new techniques, and challenging myself creatively. Through social media, networking, and real-world experience, I continue to grow the Anye’Visions brand while remaining committed to producing high-quality work for every client and opportunity I receive.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey hasn’t always been a smooth one. Life brings unexpected challenges, and sometimes your priorities have to shift. There were seasons when I had to step away from photography to focus on what was happening in the present and take care of myself personally, mentally, and professionally.

I learned that it’s okay to pause. Sometimes, you have to give your attention to what’s in front of you before you can fully pour back into your passion.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer who specializes in event, concert, and portrait photography (no particular order). My goal is to capture moments that feel genuine, energetic, and timeless. Over the years, I’ve become known for my ability to capture people in their element, while also making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and producing and delivering quality work.

One of the things that I’m most proud of is building Anye’Visions from the ground up, while never giving up. What started as a passion became a brand that has allowed me to photograph concerts, festivals, community events, and more. Every opportunity has been another step in my growth, and seeing my work being recognized and acknowledged by my support system, community, clients, and other creatives, reminds me of why I started.

What sets me apart is my commitment to continuously learn and improve my craft. I don’t believe in becoming complacent. I like to be versatile. I regularly invest in new equipment, study different techniques, and challenge myself to produce work that’s better than my last project. I also value the relationships I build with each client and collaborator. For me, photography isn’t just about taking great pictures, but also building community with creatives, and creating a fun and safe space for my clients.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is experiencing life while continuing to grow in all aspects. I enjoy trying new things, creating memories, traveling, and spending time with the people I love. I love to have a good time!
