Today we’d like to introduce you to Caleb Street.
Hi Caleb, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Travel Soxiety started with a problem Tiffany experienced herself. She was looking for the perfect tote bag for travel… something stylish and practical, but without a built-in trolley sleeve. After struggling to find the right solution, she decided to create one herself before a work trip to New York. Using supplies she found on Amazon, she made her first removable Trolley Strap.
During that trip, Tiffany took her first-ever train ride from the airport into New York. Caleb was traveling separately and, while making his way through the airport, started noticing how many travelers were carrying bags that could benefit from the same simple solution Tiffany had created.
That was the moment the idea became bigger than just something she had made for herself.
While walking through Central Park together, we decided to turn the idea into a real product that could help other travelers. Caleb jumped into sourcing and product development, and we began working through the process of turning Tiffany’s original DIY solution into a thoughtfully designed travel accessory.
Since then, Travel Soxiety has grown from a simple idea between two people into a travel accessories brand serving customers across the United States. We’ve continued developing and improving our products, learning from real travelers and our own experiences along the way.
Today, our focus is still the same as it was from the beginning: creating practical, stylish products that solve real travel frustrations and make travel days a little easier and less stressful.
We’re proud of how far Travel Soxiety has come, but we’re even more excited about where we’re going next.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, and that’s been one of the biggest parts of our journey.
One of our earliest challenges was figuring out how to take a simple idea that worked as a DIY solution and turn it into a reliable, well-designed product that other travelers could use. That meant a lot of research, sourcing, testing, refining, and learning along the way.
As a small, husband-and-wife business, we’ve also had to learn how to navigate nearly every part of building a brand from product development and inventory to marketing, e-commerce, customer experience, and growing awareness in a competitive travel accessories market.
There have been plenty of moments where things didn’t go exactly as planned, but each challenge has pushed us to improve. We’ve learned that building a product is only part of the journey; building something people trust and genuinely find useful takes time.
Rather than seeing those challenges as setbacks, we’ve tried to use them as opportunities to listen, learn, and make Travel Soxiety better. We’re still growing, still learning, and still refining what we do, but that’s also what keeps us excited about the future.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
### Travel Soxiety
Travel Soxiety is a husband-and-wife-owned travel accessories brand focused on creating simple, practical solutions for the everyday frustrations travelers experience.
Our first product, the Trolley Strap, was created after our co-founder, Tiffany, struggled to find a stylish tote that also had a built-in trolley sleeve. Instead of settling, she created her own removable solution. That original idea became the foundation for Travel Soxiety.
Today, we specialize in travel accessories that help make navigating airports and moving through a trip easier. Our products are designed to solve a very specific problem: how to securely attach a personal bag to rolling luggage when the bag doesn’t have a built-in trolley sleeve.
What sets us apart is that we focus on **solving real travel problems with thoughtfully designed, compact products** rather than simply creating another travel accessory. Our Trolley Strap and Trolley Snap were developed with different types of bags and travel needs in mind, giving travelers options based on the size, weight, and construction of their bags.
We’re especially proud that Travel Soxiety started from a real problem experienced by one of our founders and has grown into a brand serving travelers across the United States. We’ve built the business from the ground up as a husband-and-wife team, and we remain closely involved in everything from product development to customer experience.
At the heart of Travel Soxiety is a simple belief: **travel should feel exciting not unnecessarily stressful.** We want our products to take one small frustration off a traveler’s plate so they can focus more on the journey itself.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is traveling together and, especially, being able to travel with my family.
I love discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, trying new things, and creating memories that we’ll look back on for years to come. Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones… exploring somewhere new together, sharing a great meal, or watching my family experience a place for the first time.
Travel is also what inspired Travel Soxiety in the first place, so I love that my work is connected to something I genuinely enjoy. And I love knowing that the products we create can help make those experiences a little easier for other travelers too.
For me, happiness is really about **time together, new experiences, and making memories as a family.**
