Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra.
Hi Sandra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey with Just1PR started with a simple belief: great stories deserve to be seen, heard, and positioned in the right rooms.
I’ve always had a natural ability to connect people, recognize opportunities, and see the bigger picture when it comes to how someone or something should be presented. Over time, that instinct grew into Just1PR. What began as me helping people strengthen their visibility and tell their stories evolved into a full-service public relations and communications company working across media, entertainment, community engagement, nonprofit, and public affairs.
Like many entrepreneurs, I didn’t start with a perfect roadmap. A lot of what I built came from learning by doing, sending the pitches, building relationships with media, showing up at events, managing campaigns, creating opportunities for clients, and figuring out what worked along the way. Every client and project taught me something different about communications, relationships, business, and even myself.
As Just1PR grew, I became very intentional about not simply chasing publicity. I wanted our work to have purpose. Whether I’m helping a public figure strengthen their platform, positioning an expert for media opportunities, supporting an entertainment project, working with a nonprofit, or developing communications around issues that impact our communities, I want the work to mean something.
Today, Just1PR has grown far beyond what I originally imagined. I’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible people, manage meaningful campaigns and events, secure media opportunities, build partnerships, and create platforms that help others amplify their voices.
I’m still building, still learning, and still evolving. I think that’s one of the most exciting parts of entrepreneurship. There is always another level to reach, another relationship to build, and another story worth telling.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship comes with a lot of lessons that you don’t necessarily learn until you’re in the middle of them.
One of my biggest challenges has been learning the business side of being good at what I do. I started Just1PR because I understood communications, relationships, storytelling, and how to create opportunities. But running a company also means learning how to price your value, set boundaries, manage expectations, build a team, and understand that not every opportunity or client is the right fit.
There were also moments when I had to prove myself and my company without having the resources or access of a larger agency. I learned very quickly that relationships matter, consistency matters, and your reputation matters. Sometimes you have to create your own seat at the table instead of waiting for someone to invite you.
Another lesson has been understanding that growth doesn’t always look the way you expect it to. There have been setbacks, pivots, long days, and plenty of moments where I had to figure things out as I went. But each challenge helped me become more confident in my decisions and more intentional about the direction of Just1PR.
I’ve learned not to measure success only by how quickly something happens. Building something sustainable takes time. Looking back, some of the challenges that felt frustrating in the moment actually helped shape the business owner and communications professional I am today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Just1PR is a full-service public relations and strategic communications company focused on helping people, brands, organizations, and initiatives build visibility with purpose. We specialize in media relations, strategic communications, brand positioning, event publicity, campaign communications, and creating opportunities that connect our clients with the audiences they need to reach.
Our work spans several industries, including entertainment and media, public figures, mental health and wellness professionals, nonprofits and community organizations, entrepreneurs, and public affairs. That range is something I’m incredibly proud of because it reflects our ability to understand different audiences while still creating strategies that feel authentic to each client.
What sets Just1PR apart is that we don’t believe PR is simply about getting your name in the media. We look at the bigger picture. What is the story? Who needs to hear it? Why should they care? And most importantly, what happens after people start paying attention? Sometimes that means securing an interview or feature, but other times it means developing a stronger message, creating a community partnership, positioning someone as an expert, building an event strategy, or identifying an opportunity the client may not have considered.
We’re also very hands-on. I’ve built Just1PR around relationships, creativity, strategy, and being willing to think beyond the traditional PR playbook. I want our clients to feel like we are genuinely invested in what they are building, not simply checking boxes on a list of services.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Just1PR has become associated with making things happen. We’ve been able to help clients gain media exposure, strengthen their platforms, execute events and campaigns, enter new spaces, and tell stories that deserve greater visibility.
At the core of Just1PR is something very simple: there may be thousands of stories being told, but sometimes it only takes Just 1 PR opportunity, connection, interview, introduction, or moment to change the trajectory of a brand. That is the energy behind everything we do.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is about impact, growth, and freedom.
Of course, business growth and financial stability matter, but I don’t define success solely by revenue or how many clients I have. I look at the impact of the work. Did I help someone get into a room they couldn’t access before? Did a media opportunity open another door? Did a campaign or event reach the people it was intended to reach? Did I help someone see the potential in their own brand differently?
I also define success by growth, being able to look back and realize that the opportunities I once hoped for are now part of my everyday work. At the same time, I never want to become so comfortable that I stop evolving.
And finally, success is having the freedom to build something that reflects who I am. I’ve been able to create Just1PR in my own way, build meaningful relationships, work on projects I genuinely care about, and create opportunities not only for myself, but for others.
If the work continues to open doors, create impact, and leave something meaningful behind, that’s success to me.
